Prior to writing Rupert’s Snowman, Phillipa designed beautiful sweaters for design studios including Tommy Hilfiger and Julien Macdonald. She graduated from the Royal College of Art and has returned to lecture the MA students. She runs a weekly fashion and textile club for children at a school in Saffron Walden.
Phillipa is also a fashion and portrait illustrator and is the portrait illustrator @tortoisemedia. You can see her work @pwardenknitwear. It’s been featured in Vogue, The Telegraph and The Times among other great publications. Check out her other website.
Phillipa studied a short story writing course at Cambridge University recently and wrote Rupert’s Snowman as a result.
She lives in rural Cambridgeshire with her brilliant husband and marvellous kids, daughter Emma and son Rupert, upon whom the central character in her book is based!
